Wanna be a teenage heartthrob What do other guys have that I don't got? Is it good looks or personality? Brains or rationality? Are all things that I don't got How could I have stood a shot? With you? With her? Or anybody for that matter? Wanna be a teenage heartthrob Your heart's the only thing I don't got Hey girl, come and get with me I'd be Mr. Personality And we'd be on TV With beautiful celebrities All the kids would swoon over us Having you I'd be the luckiest If I could've been a teenage heartthrob Then looking good would be my job I could win the hearts of millions Maybe yours would be one of them? But if you were my girl I'd drop the whole world And we wouldn't have to be stars Because I know your eyes already are Wanna be a teenage heartthrob

As I trod through the shadows there was a subtle light that gave contour the darkness Now I walk alone in this infinite night Bitter, broken and heartless I ceased to feel the needles of my plight drained of color my world is artless Where once there was hope now there is blight I have no future my fate to be formless I won't step around the issue Love, I Miss You I refuse to dress these wounds in words and cloud the truth Every day without you is like the cold beach wind in December Constant reminders of beauty it hurts to remember I can only hope I haven't seen the end And in do time it will be spring again I won't step around the issue Love, I Miss You I refuse to dress these wounds in words and cloud the truth Let them judge me if they like They weren't there that Saturday night And in no place to fight I won't step around the issue Love, I Miss You I refuse to dress these wounds in words and cloud the truth

There's nothing to do, so let's do something fun let's make lightning strike through the heat of summer's sun Let's turn this sweat into a warming memory like when we kept each other warm in January It doesn't matter who you are or what you've been through It's time to party so let's go crazy, I can't do it without you Party cuz there's nothing to do Party cuz there's nothing to do Nothin to do here so let's find somewhere fun Full tank of gas let's go "Baby, we were born to run" blasts through the speakers as we drive back our way We'd stopped the middle of nowhere, It was a perfect day It doesn't matter who you are or what you've been through It's time to party so go crazy, I can't do it without you Party cuz there's nothing to do Party cuz there's nothing to do Oh, won't you stay here tonight And drown out the crickets with me As we stare into each others eyes This is as perfect as it'll ever be The meaning of life is naked somewhere In the way you told me To keep going The glow of your skin The mess of your hair The winter whithered And the summer's blooming It doesn't matter who you are or what you've been through It's time to party so go crazy, I can't do it without you Party cuz there's nothing to do Party cuz there's nothing to do

I think it's time I made some decisions myself and I appreciate the offer but I don't think I need the help Stop trying to take control of my life I'm the only one who knows how to do that right My vision is within my sight So don't slow me down, alright? I can do what I want and still have fun Everything that I do is right for me Doesn't matter what I choose I'm gonna see it through And be the best thing Just wait and see I know I was born to be on the stage With my guitar or words on a page Stop trying to pick my path It's not about making cash But I'll give it all that I have To make it to the top So I can laugh I can do what I want and still have fun Everything that I do is right for me Doesn't matter what I choose I'm gonna see it through And be the best thing Just wait and see What the hell do you want from me? You can't tell me who I'm supposed to be
